Our Panama Vacation

Our household goods and truck where loaded in the shipping container on June 14. We received a call today that customs pulled our container at the port for inspection. I was worried that we would have a long delayed but in the afternoon we we were informed that customs released the container for shipment. We have to get a check in the overnight mail to cover the cost of the inspection. I am not sure when the container will ship until I speak with the forwarder on Wedsday after the receive the check. We are scheduled to fly out of Orlando on June 25 to set up everything to receive and unload the container.

We are moving to Panama at the end of June. We are shipping our household items ourselves by leasing a container that will hold everything including our car. We have a house that we are planning on renting in the city for now. It is close to where our son will attend school. It is a private school with a similar calendar year that we have here in the states. The school has a soccer team which was must. His team won the River City 2010 Tournament Championship. They played extremely hard for the victory. We look forward to many hours visiting with family and friends after we have settled in. After we are settled we want to look at buying a home in or close to the city. Later we are going to build and home in the interior of the weekends, vacations and visiting relatives and friends. I will be updating the photos and adding more features to the blog in the near future.
